An SUV was badly damaged by fire the third incident of vehicle fire in just over a week.

The latest incident happened on Monday to an SUV parked on Union Street.

A Police spokesperson said: "The complainant said that around 3.50 a.m. she discovered her vehicle ablaze. The SUV received left side rear end damage as a result."

Members of the Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service put out the fire. An investigation into the cause of the fire is expected.

Last Sunday, a motorcycle was found on fire on Front Street, while another burning cycle was found in an empty lot Wednesday night on St. Monica's Road. The Police spokesperson said that the incidents are not believed to be connected.
