Three hurt in road crashes

A motorcyclist was last night in intensive care in hospital after crashing at a roundabout on Saturday evening.

The 33-year-old Pembroke man suffered head injuries after losing control as he travelled east on Southside Road, St. George's, at 9.45 p.m. No other vehicles were involved in the accident.

He was taken by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, where his condition was last night described as stable.

Witnesses should call PC Delroy Dyer on 293-2222.

Meanwhile a woman driver was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving following another accident at about 1.10 a.m. on Saturday.

The 28-year-old Paget woman and her 27-year-old male passenger, from Sandys, both received treatment at KEMH after the car collided with a wall and overturned. They had been travelling west on Somerset Road, Sandys.

The woman sustained a laceration to her mouth and complained of neck and back pain, while the man sustained abrasions to his left hand and complained of pain to his head. The car received damage to multiple areas.
