Three in hospital after crashes

Three motorists were sent to hospital following two separate serious road traffic collisions in Paget.

A 54-year-old Paget man was yesterday in Intensive Care at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital (KEMH) after his motorcycle struck a utility pole on Harbour Road.

The accident occurred around 2.45pm on Tuesday, near the Highwood Lane junction.

The man was yesterday said to be in stable condition.

Witnesses are asked to contact Pc Stephen Paynter on 295-0011.

An auxiliary cycle and a motorcycle collided on Trimingham Road around 9.25pm in the second accident.

A 22-year-old Paget woman and a 19-year-old Smith’s man were injured and taken by ambulance to KEMH.

Both vehicles were extensively damaged. Witnesses to the crash are asked to contact Pc Seymour Foote on 295-0011.

In an unrelated incident, a 39-year-old Southampton man drove a car over an embankment near Coral Beach Club.

The Southampton resident was not injured in Wednesday’s accident which took place on South Road, Paget around 6.05am.
