Trio named to Sustainable Development Round Table
Three new members have been appointed to Government's Sustainable Development Round Table (SDRT).
Stratton G.W. Hatfield, Khomeini B. Taalib-Din and Matthew Lee Trott join Martha Dismont, Peter Everson, Allan Hunt, Malcolm Kirkland, Craig Mayor, Dorcas Roberts, Brian Rowlinson, Ottiwell Simmons, Calvin Smith and round table chairman Arthur Hodgson.
The SDRT is a body, appointed by the Premier, to ensure broad community representation and engagement in the Island's sustainable development ventures.
Mr. Hodgson said: "I am delighted to welcome these gentlemen to the Sustainable Development Round Table.
"Their varied backgrounds represent many sectors of the Bermuda community and their interest in sustainable development will be valuable as we move the agenda for Bermuda forward.
"I look forward to working with them and to their contribution as we consider the future of our Island."
Mr. Hatfield holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in industrial design, with a focus on sustainable design, from Savannah College of Art & Design in Savannah, Georgia.
Mr. Taalib-Din is a member of Citizens Uprooting Racism in Bermuda (CURB), sits on the PLP Youth Wing Council and is chairman of the party's Political Education Committee.
Mr. Trott earned a master's degree in both transport planning and business administration from Oxford Brookes University in the UK.
He also holds a bachelor's degree in environmental studies from the University of Waterloo in Canada.
