Tucker's Point faired well when reviewed by the Washington Post's Finicky Traveler.

The series is written by the paper's Assistant Managing Editor Laura Landro.

In Saturday's edition she wrote: "Doormen and bell staff gave me one of the warmest greetings I've had at any hotel anywhere, and whisked me into an elegant lobby with shiny marble floors.

"I hadn't been to Bermuda, a British territory, in more than 20 years, and had nearly forgotten how pristine the isle is, with its lovely pastel homes, pink sand beaches and azure waters, ideal for snorkelling and diving."

Her main criticism was the fact that the beach is 1.3 miles from the hotel and the shuttles were not timely.

Regarding the Island as a whole she noted that the Reefs resort was impressive but that Elbow Beach Hotel looked "sad".

The story also featured pictures of the resort by local photographer Amanda Temple.
