Bermuda's youngest author, Malaika Abdul Jabbar, launched her latest book at a book signing at Daisy & Mac on Saturday.

Malaikah, 8, also presented a copy of "A Different Kind of Bermuda" to Education Minister Dame Jennifer Smith, who praised the Victor Scott student.

The author of "Stop the Shooting" said she wrote the new book to encourage people to see Bermuda's hidden beauties.

"I believe that Bermuda has many hidden beauties that a lot of people don't see or they don't have time to see," she said. "Once these beauties are discovered, then only will people appreciate Bermuda for what she really is. There will be less pollution, less crime and more joy throughout Bermuda."
