The yacht Tucana is the winner of this year’s Charleston to Bermuda Race.The Shipman 63 vessel arrived here at about 8.10pm last night, according to the event organisers, though an official finish time had not been given by press time.The boat is under charter to Hank Hofford and his wife Susan Ford and has a crew made up mostly of family members. US comedian Stephen Colbert and his crew on Spirit of Juno were expected to come in second; they were still 46 miles from the finish at 8.30pm yesterday, with an estimated arrival after midnight.All of the boats taking part in the biennial race will be berthing at the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club in Hamilton.
