Armed men broke into an occupied Pembroke home and made off with cash and other items this afternoon.The people in the Clarke’s Lane residence were not injured during the burglary, which took place around 1.40pm.Said a Police spokeswoman:”It appears two men entered the residence, one carrying what appeared to be a firearm. The suspects stole several items including electronics, cash and jewellery and made good their escape by running away in a southerly direction.“The home was occupied at the time of the incident; however the occupants were not injured.”The two suspects were each approximately 6ft, the spokesman added.One was described as being of medium build, the other was said to be of large build.The second was described as brown-skinned and around 22 years old.Continued the spokeswoman: “One suspect had dreads or braids and was wearing a hat, scarf and hooded jacket. The other suspect had short hair, green eyes and was wearing a white T-shirt and long jeans.”Anyone with information is asked to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.
