Nahki Wells scores twice for Bradford City

Nahki Wells is hoping to be offered a contract by Bradford City

Nahki Wells did his chances of winning a permanent contract with Bradfiord City no harm by bagging a brace in a friendly match for the League Two side. The 21-year-old trialist played 75 minutes in Bradford's 7-1 win over non-league side Silsden at the Asda Foundation Stadium on Wednesday. He will now be hoping to have done enough to convince Bradford boss Peter Jackson to offer him a deal at the West Yorkshire outfit.Wells, who was released by Carlisle United at the end of last season, created the game's opener for Nialle Rodney before scoring either side of the interval.Jackson said: “Silsden were very accommodating to us and there were some good performances and good fitness."I mixed the team up and full credit to the senior players, Threlfall, Oliver and Flynn, who showed a fantastic attitude to play alongside the trialists and kids we've got at the club. But you can see that is the future of Bradford City, bringing these young players on.”
