Severe weather watch issued

A stalled storm front has brought the Island heavy rainfall and strong gusts, with the possibility of thunder storms lingering until tomorrow.The Bermuda Weather Service has issued a severe weather watch for this morning through this afternoon, and a small craft warning valid through tomorrow.A thunderstorm advisory is also in effect until tomorrow morning.A spokesman for the service said this morning: “It looks like [the front] will pretty much clear to our south before tomorrow afternoon.“Then we have another one coming into the area later on Friday.”The service is also tracking Tropical Storm Emily, currently around 1,000nm south of Bermuda, which is not considered a threat to the Island at this time.As of this morning, the tropical storm is predicted to reach the Dominican Republic on Wednesday as it travels west.Useful website: www.weather.bm
