Man charged with threatening Health Minister

Richard John Foggo pleaded not guilty to one charge of using threatening words and one count of threatening behaviour towards Zane DeSilva in an incident on Tuesday.

A 51-year-old was this morning charged in Magistrates’ Court with threatening Health Minister Zane DeSilva on the grounds of Cabinet Office.Richard John Foggo pleaded not guilty to one charge of using threatening words and one count of threatening behaviour towards Mr DeSilva in an incident on Tuesday.After pleading, Mr Foggo said he wanted to explain what brought him to the Cabinet grounds that day, but Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner said he would have an opportunity to explain what happened during his trial.Mr Warner released Mr Foggo on $2,000 bail with a like surety under the condition that he in no way interferes with Mr DeSilva.Mr Foggo’s trial was scheduled to take place on October 7, with the matter being mentioned in Magistrates’ Court on August 25.
