Tropical depression to pass Bermuda

Strong winds and showers are expected to affect Bermuda tonight and tomorrow as Tropical Depression Emily passes to the Island’s North.

The Bermuda Weather Service is this afternoon predicting gale force winds and a risk of lightning for Monday, with showers and strong winds persisting into Tuesday.

A thunderstorm advisory is in effect through this afternoon, while a small craft warning is in place until tomorrow afternoon.

The service has also issued a gale warning, valid from late tomorrow afternoon until tomorrow night.

The storm system, which caused rainfall throughout the Caribbean earlier this week, is expected to pass 136nm to the Island’s North-Northwest at around 4pm tomorrow.
