Butterfield Bank reporting problems with some of its ATMs

Software upgrades on Butterfield Bank ATMs have caused some of the machines to be temporarily out of order. The problems will in no way compromise security or customer accounts, a bank spokesman said.“This is a small particular issue related to software upgrades. Certain ATM machines have been taking themselves offline.”The spokesman could not confirm how many machines were affected or when the problem will be completely remedied. He said the problem had been ongoing since Cup Match, with some bank staff on call seven days a week to keep the machines online.“What we are doing is having our personnel physically monitoring the ATMs and getting them back online,” the spokesman said.“If a customer does notice a problem, we have set up a phone line, 298-4642, specifically to handle this problem. If a customer calls, we will try to rectify the situation immediately.”Useful website: www.butterfieldbank.bm.
