Man admits to gun charge
A man admitted to handling a gun when he appeared at Supreme Court this morning.
Kofi Dill, 32, admitted handling a Rexio RJ Series .38 Calibre Special revolver on or about December 22, 2010. He denied handling a .38 calibre bullet.
The charges were brought after a loaded firearm was recovered by police on December 22, 2010 in the Government Gate area of Pembroke.
No information about the case was given by prosecutor Cindy Clarke, but she asked for the bullet charge to lie on file.
Puisne Judge Carlisle Greaves remanded Dill into custody until he is sentenced on Wednesday.
Dill was charged jointly with a woman, Thayja Simons, 22, who pleaded not guilty at an earlier court hearing. She was not required to speak during today's hearing. Ms Clarke asked that she be bailed until her case is mentioned on Wednesday, and the judge agreed to this.
