Two-year-old’s breathing is restarted

A two-year-old girl is recovering in hospital after doctors had to restart her breathing.

The alarm was raised around 5.30pm on Friday at the junction of Vesey Street with Middle Road, Devonshire, near Belvin’s Variety.

Police said the girl had stopped breathing due to an existing medical condition

Traffic was diverted while an ambulance rushed her to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, where last night the girl was said to be recuperating on a general ward.
