Veteran motorcycle racer Paul DeCouto won class honors at last weekend's 28th Annual Championship Cup Series (CCS) Race of Champions at Daytona International Speedway.The 41-year-old Bermudian took the coveted checkered flag in the Formula Expert 40 Class competing on his Suzuki GSX R750 bike against a formidable field at the world–famous race track.DeCouto said his winning performance surpassed his own expectations heading into the event.“I didn't think I was going to win it because on a national level you have a lot of people who are really fast,” he said. “I didn't think I would win this, but I did.”
