Fraud case woman faces further charges

A woman facing fraud charges at Supreme Court has been further charged with using offensive and threatening behaviour towards two prosecutors.Delcina Bean-Burrows, 44, of Warwick is alleged to have used offensive words towards Crown counsels Larissa Burgess and Kirsty-Ann Kiellor on April 29.She faces alternate charges of using insulting behaviour towards the two female prosecutors. The incident is alleged to have taken place at Global House, the Church Street building where the Department of Public Prosecutions is based.Ms Bean Burrows denied all the charges when she appeared at Magistrates’ Court this morning.Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner heard from Director of Public Prosecutions Rory Field that both prosecutors will be involved, in January, with a long Supreme Court trial that Ms Bean Burrows is also involved in.She was charged in March, along with three men, with multiple charges of defrauding the Bermuda Government. She will stand trial at Magistrates’ Court on January 3 in relation to the allegations of offensive and threatening behaviour.The Supreme Court trial is slated to begin later that month.Mr Warner released Ms Bean-Burrows on $2,000 bail.
