LF Wade International Airport’s long-term car park suffered minor flooding due to extremely high tides.Six cars had to be moved last week after possibly being affected by water rising as high as the axle, according to the Department of Airport Operations.Government reminded car owners that airport parking is at their own risk and preventive measures cannot always be taken to help safeguard vehicles.According to the Bermuda Weather Service, Bermuda was affected by an oceanographic feature known as a ‘warm eddy’ as well as a spring tide which combined to raise sea levels by approximately a foot above normal.
