Fifteen-year-old Rashaun Codrington was this morning charged with the murder of Malcolm Outerbridge.Mr Codrington, from Khyber Pass, Warwick, was formally charged in Magistrates’ Court with the murder of the 18-year old on October 28 in Warwick.He was also charged with one count of possessing a bladed article, specifically a knife, in a public place.Because the matter must be heard in Supreme Court, Mr Codrington was not required to enter a plea and remained silent throughout proceedings.However when the murder charge was read, a gasp was heard through the crowded courtroom.Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner remanded Mr Codrington in custody until November 18 when papers will be served.Prosecutor Susan Mulligan represented the Crown, while Victoria Pearman, standing in for Charles Richardson, represented Mr Codrington.
