It’s RAG week
Saltus students will take part in a series of fundraising events next week as part of the school’s annual Raise And Give (RAG) Week.
Starting on Monday, the students of Saltus Secondary Department will take part in four days of activities, including a talent show, fashion show, bake sale and even a quidditch match to raise money for charity.
The funds raised by this year’s events will go towards St John Ambulance and UNICEF, with a portion going to support Maikel Amaguaña Macias, a child in Ecuador sponsored through Children International.
Students will also donate clothes from the fashion show to the Salvation Army and collected non-perishable food items to the St John’s Church Food Bank.
This is the 12th year Saltus students have taken part in the annual fundraising effort, which has over the years raised more than $40,000 for a variety of charities.
