A taxi driver was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving following an accident in Devonshire yesterday.Police on patrol came across the taxi and a motorcycle after the vehicles collided around 3.15am near the junction of Frog and Devon Lanes.“As officers approached the taxi, the driver, a 62-year-old Devonshire man, appeared to be intoxicated. He was then arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. He failed the alco-analyser test and was detained in police custody as a result. “No-one was injured in the accident, according to police.A court appearance is anticipated in due course.
