Women’s Resource Centre offers workshops on building self-esteem

The Women’s Resource Centre is to host a series of workshops aimed at building self-esteem and helping women feel empowered.

The workshops will run every Wednesday for six weeks commencing on April 4 between 5.30pm and 7pm.

Elaine Williams of the WRC said: “Through the development of healthy self-esteem, women are more likely to enter into healthy relationships or leave unhealthy ones.

“They are also more likely to succeed in their careers and to serve as a positive role model to their children. Overall, the greater a woman’s self-esteem, the more joy and well-being she will experience in her lifetime.

“The self-esteem building workshop is interactive and will include discussion and activities designed to improve your self-esteem. There will also be guest speakers who will present on various aspects of self-esteem.”

She added: “We encourage everyone who struggles with self-esteem issues, or those who want to learn more about self-esteem, to come out and experience this life-changing workshop.

“This a great workshop for counsellors, teachers, mentors, managers or anyone who works with girls or women as well.”

Those who wish to register must do so by Tuesday at 12 noon: e-mail ekast[AT]wrcbermuda.com or telephone 295-3882.
