International Women’s Forum to honour Premier Cox

Premier Paula Cox has been named one of the 2012 recipients of the Women Who Make a Difference Awards by the International Women’s Forum.The awards are presented annually to women from around the world “who by way of their example, contributions and exceptional leadership have removed barriers for women’s advancement”.Ms Cox is one of ten women who will receive the award in October at the IWF’s International Hall of Fame Awards and Gala in San Francisco. Other recipients this year include an opera composer, the founding chair of Operation Smile in Jordan and several accomplished businesswomen and politicians.Ms Cox is the founding president of the Bermuda chapter of the IWF, which officially joined the worldwide organisation in October 2011. Currently, the IWF has 5,000 members consisting of female leader from 26 countries on five continents.The organisation “advances leadership across careers, cultures and continents by connecting the world’s most preeminent women of significant and diverse achievement”.
