Man arrested after car flips
A Pembroke man was arrested after allegedly flipping a car in Pembroke.According to a police spokesman, at around 1.40am on Monday officers responded to reports of a single vehicle collision on St John’s Road, near the junction with Moores Lane.“It appears that a car was being driven along St John’s Road when the collision occurred causing the vehicle to overturn,” the spokesman said. “The car was found extensively damaged and unoccupied at the scene.“A 23-year-old Pembroke man believed to be the driver at the time was subsequently located and arrested on suspicion of impaired driving.”Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact Pc Keishalyn Brooks on 295-0011.The crash was one of several traffic incidents over the weekend.At around 6am on Saturday, police responded to a report of a single vehicle collision on North Shore Road in Devonshire after a 56-year-old Smith’s woman lost control of her car and went off the road near Cable Hill.And at 7.15am that day, a truck and van collided on North Shore Road in Hamilton Parish near the junction with East Point Lane. There were no injuries in any of the collisions.
