Woman hurt in bike crash
A Pembroke woman was injured when her auxiliary cycle struck a car at the entrance to Sunset Pass, in Pembroke.According to a police spokesman, officers and first responders attended a crash on North Shore Road at around 8.30am on Tuesday.“It appears that an auxiliary cycle was being ridden along North Shore Road and a car was exiting Sunset Pass when the vehicles collided,” the spokesman said. “As a result the auxiliary cycle rider, a 59-year-old Pembroke woman, was injured, however her injuries are not believed to be serious.”Both vehicles suffered extensive front-end damage in the crash.The incident was just one of three crashes this week.At around 8.30pm on Monday, officers received a report of a two-vehicle collision on North Shore Road in Devonshire, near the junction with Foothills Road.Both of the vehicles were travelling along North Shore Road when they collided. One driver, a 58-year-old Smith’s woman was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, but was treated and released.And at around 3pm on Tuesday police attended a two-vehicle crash on Parson’s Lane in which a car and a jeep struck each other, sending one of the vehicles into a wall.While the vehicles were both damaged, there were no injuries reported.
