The Department of Consumer Affairs yesterday warned local Walmart shoppers of a recall of one of the company’s exercise products.Perfect Resistance Bands sold by the popular chain of stores were voluntarily recalled after they were deemed a potential safety hazard.An advisory was issued by the US Consumer Product Safety Commission, warning that the bands can detach from their mesh cloth loops, potentially injuring the user and those in the vicinity.Twelve incidents have been reported, with buyers injured in the back, hand and eye.
