In articles that appeared in this newspaper on February 27 and March 8, 2013 it was erroneously stated that Delia Basden, the Chief Financial Officer of the Bermuda Hospitals Board, had been suspended on full pay pending the outcome of a current inquiry into the Board’s management and a review of its finances.In fact, as originally reported on February 6, Ms Basden has been placed on administrative leave as part of the review process.This newspaper apologises for any inconvenience and upset that the inaccurate use of the words suspended on full pay may have caused Ms Basden and unreservedly acknowledges its error in this regard which it now seeks to correct.
