Police arrest erratic drivers

Police arrested two men early on Sunday morning after they were spotted driving erratically.A police spokesman said yesterday that at around 2.30am, officers on mobile patrol on Crow Lane stopped a 30-year-old Pembroke man on a motorcycle.An hour and a half later, a 22-year-old Devonshire man driving a car near the Botanical Gardens was stopped.In both cases, the officers noticed the suspects appeared to be intoxicated, and were arrested on suspicion of impaired driving.The arrests were just two of eight for impaired driving that took place over the St Patrick’s Day weekend.Officers also arrested 32 people for outstanding warrants and conducted liquor licence checks at various liquor licensed premises throughout the Island.
