A 44-year-old Devonshire man was rushed to the hospital’s Emergency Ward with serious head injuries following a single vehicle accident in Southampton yesterday.Police and other first responders attended the scene of the collision on South Road and Bay Sands Road, near the Reefs Hotel around 10.25am.A spokesman said: “Details are sketchy but it appears that the motorcyclist was in the area when he lost control of his cycle, resulting in his injuries.”Police are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the accident to call 295-0011.Meanwhile a hospital spokeswoman confirmed last night that the accident victim was expected to be moved to a surgical ward following emergency treatment. At last check he was listed in stable condition.
