A Virgin Atlantic flight was diverted to Bermuda because of a sick child on board.
The child was yesterday said to be in stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, a Police spokesman said.
Virgin Atlantic flight 76 was on its way from Miami to Manchester in the United Kingdom, when it was forced to land at LF Wade International Airport around 9.05pm on Sunday.
About 315 passengers were on board at the time of the flight. They were placed in accommodations and expected to leave the Island yesterday or today, the spokesman added.
