Roads to close to traffic for Harbour Nights

Various roads in Hamilton will be closed to traffic to accommodate Harbour Nights each week.

A City of Hamilton spokeswoman announced that parking would be prohibited between 6pm and 11pm each Wednesday until August 28, on the following streets:

l Front Street between Bermudiana Road and Burnaby Street

l Reid Street between Queen and Burnaby Streets

l Queen Street.

Meanwhile, the following roads will be closed to traffic between 6pm and 11pm:

l Front Street between Queen and Burnaby Streets

l Reid Street between Queen and Burnaby Streets

l Queen Street.

“Access will be given to Harbour Nights vendors only, who will be permitted access until 6.30pm for set-up and after 10pm for break-down,” the spokeswoman said. “Taxi parking will be provided along Front Street between Burnaby and Court Streets from 6pm until 11pm. Motorists and cyclists are reminded that all cars and cycles must be removed from Number One Car Park by 6pm each Wednesday evening. Vehicles violating this notice will be clamped and ticketed. Pedal cyclists, in-line skaters and skateboarders are strictly prohibited from Front Street, Queen Street and Reid Street.”
