Health Ministry on the move
The Ministry of Health and Seniors will be relocating this week in an effort to reduce costs.
Ministry headquarters staff will today be moving their offices to the first floor of the Continental Building at the corner of Church Street and Burnaby Street. A spokeswoman for the Ministry said the weekend move is hoped to reduce the impact on services provided.
The Health Promotion and Epidemiology Sections, currently locating in Melbourne House on Parliament Street, will also be moving into the Continental Building, taking offices on the ground floor and first floor on Monday.
And the National Office of Seniors and the Physically Challenged (NOSPC) will take over the offices vacated by the Ministry headquarters, leaving their current home on Victoria Street on Wednesday.
Despite the changes, the phone numbers for all of the affected departments will not be changed.
