Good turnout for Neighbourhood Watch presentation
Around 80 Sandys residents turned up for a Neighbourhood Watch presentation organised by police.Officers from the Western Community Action Team discussed their role in the community and how Neighbourhood Watch and Community Action Groups formed.The May 30 presentation was held at St James Anglican Church. The presentation was followed by a short talk on crime prevention and home security.Chief Inspector Jerome Laws, officer in charge of the western area, said: “We think it is important to get our message out to as many members of the community as possible, and we’re thankful so many residents attended. We look forward to continuing dialogue and building partnerships with the local community in Sandys as we work together to make Bermuda safer.”
