Church Street to undergo road repairs

The west lane of Church Street will be closed until the end of the month as of tomorrow, for “major road repairs” between Queen Street and Par-la-Ville Road, the City of Hamilton announced.Traffic from Queen Street will only be allowed to turn right onto Church Street, and motorists from Wesley Street will retain the left turn only. The Par-la-Ville car park will be accessible from Church Street West.In addition, access to Albuoy’s Point was restricted to motorists as of yesterday.The arrangement will allow the Bermuda Regiment to assemble for a 21-gun salute within six hours of the announcement of the birth of the Royal Baby, a City spokeswoman said.
