Bermudian bands to perform tonight

Bermudian musicians will take to the stage tonight as part of the City Music Festival.DIA, Yellow Brick Road, Chewstick and Working Title are all set to perform at the free concert at Par-La-Ville car park, organised by 411 Productions and Veterans in Action.Organiser Andrew Holmes said: “We will have Emcee Patrina O’Conner keeping the festivities lively. There will be food vendors and a cash bar.“We encourage locals to come out and show their support for our local talent. It is also a great opportunity to see get a sneak preview of the set-up for the Beres Hammond show if you are curious as to how we turn the carpark into a venue.”And on Saturday night, the same space will be used for the Bermuda Rocks show, with local bands The Kennel Boys and The Big Days opening for U2 tribute band Elevation and The Police tribute band Message in a Bottle.Advance tickets for Bermuda Rocks cost $35, and are available from Kit and Caboodle, Sovereign Jewellers and www.bdatix.com.
