Police invite artwork and essays

Winners will get to shadow top-ranking officers as they go about their daily beat — and prizes will be given out to the top entries in each category.Primary students can submit drawings depicting their impression of community policing, while middle school students are required to write up to 500 words on what they would do if they were Police Commissioner.Senior students can write essays of up to 500 words, on how the service can build partnerships within the community.Submissions should be age appropriate, and come with name, age and a daytime contact for a parent or guardian.Entries can be sent to the Hamilton Police Station’s public and media relations office, up until 4pm on September 27.
