US citizens invited to meet Consul General

US Consul General Bob Settje will host a second town hall meeting for American citizens residing in Bermuda on Thursday, September 19.

The first 100 US citizens to register online at the US Consulate website will receive notice that “a space has been reserved for them”.

The meeting will be held at Mr Settje's official residence, Cedarhurst, at 33 Wilkinson Avenue in Hamilton Parish.

A spokesperson said: “The Consulate General wishes to give as many Americans as possible the opportunity to attend its town hall meetings.

“To gain attendance to the town hall meeting, each attendee will be required to show his/her US passport.

“The meeting will provide an opportunity to get to know Consul General Settje and other Consulate officers and to ask questions.

“The Consul General looks forward to welcoming his fellow citizens to his home.”

People who confirmed their attendance for the town hall meeting in April, will be placed at the bottom of the registration list for this month's meeting, regardless of whether they attended the April meeting, the spokesperson added.

The meeting is for American citizens age 18 and over from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.
