Enjoy a tour of historic Hamilton

A tour of historical Hamilton buildings to celebrate World Town Planning Day will take place this Friday.

The one-hour walking tour, led by members of the Historic Building’s Advisory Committee, will highlight the Anglican Cathedral along with eight newly listed buildings, including the Cabinet Building, the House of Assembly and the Perot Post Office.

Minister of Environment and Planning Sylvan Richards invited the public to take part in the tour and learn more about the buildings and their significance.

“Many of us walk by these buildings every day and they are important, landmark buildings within the City,” he said. “It will be an informative way for people to spend their lunch hour.”

The walking tour will start at 12.30pm in the lobby of City Hall. Those interested in registering in advance can do so by e-mailing planning2@gov.bm.
