A bike rider is being treated in hospital for leg and back injuries following a collision between a car and a cycle at the Ice Queen entrance on South Road, Paget shortly before 7.30pm.

The accident caused road delays as traffic was directed to Harbour Road.

Both the motorcyclist and his passenger were taken to hospital, but only the driver — a 50-year-old man — was hurt.

Police have appealed for any witnesses to the collision to call 295-0011.
