Snowy owl at Dockyard has died

An Arctic bird of prey that has been hunting over historic Dockyard for a month after arriving on the Island was found dead this morning.The bird was last seen alive on Friday evening, on a perch overlooking Dockyard. But it died overnight and was found on the ground in the morning.The death of the bird was confirmed to The Royal Gazette by Andrew Dobson, president of the Bermuda Audubon Society, who had viewed the bird on Friday in the company of conservationist Dr David Wingate.What caused the bird to die is currently under investigation.
