Ski mask flasher strikes again

Warwick’s ski mask flasher has made a second unwelcome appearance, this time described as large-bellied and “very hairy”.

The stocky and “light complexioned” man, seen naked but for a ski mask on Warwick Long Bay on Sunday, was spotted again on Boxing Day.

Police attended a South Road, Warwick residence yesterday after a woman standing in her yard around 8.45am noticed a man lurking in nearby bushes, dressed only in an orange mask.

The flasher was gone by the time authorities arrived — and a search of the area produced no one fitting the description.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 234-1010.

Officers thanked the public for an otherwise quiet Christmas, with “no significant occurrences of antisocial behaviour reported”.

However, a stern warning was issued over the distribution of “child abusive images” — including sexual images of anyone beneath the age of 16.

Possession or sharing of such pictures constitutes a serious offence — and anyone receiving video clips or pictures is urged to report the images immediately to police.

A spokesman added: “If you receive any child abuse images via social media, internet or your cell phone, do not pass on the image or video no matter how good your intentions are. Simply erase the image or report it.”

Anyone found by police to be in possession of such an image is liable to arrest and prosecution.
