Dockyard Mall partially closes for winter season
The Clocktower Mall in Dockyard will be closed three days a week for the next few months, the West End Development Corporation has announced.
Between now and March, the mall will open between 9am and 5pm Thursday through Sunday, but remain closed Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
The move was reportedly made following requests by store owners who cited slow business during the winter season.
According to Wedco’s website, several other businesses in Dockyard will close their doors for some portion of the week until March, with Bermy Berry in Dockyard also closing Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and both the Dockyard Art Centre and Makin’ Waves Dockyard staying closed on Mondays. The Dockyard Pastry Shop will meanwhile close for a month on January 13, reopening on February 13.
Other Dockyard attractions however still plan to remain open seven days a week including the Bermuda Craft Market, Dockyard Glassworks and Dolphin Quest.
And the National Museum of Bermuda is offering free entry for Bermuda residents throughout the month of January as a “New Years Gift” to the Island.
