A free course on customer service and local culture aimed at people in the hospitality industry is being offered from February 18.

The Bermuda Tourism Authority today announced the latest round of the Blue Flag Ambassador Certification training programme, a two and a half week course that will be held at the Bermuda College.

The programme is coordinated with the Island’s National Tourism Plan, which explains the Island’s five main tourism hubs and emphasises the role of Bermudians in developing tourism.

The course is geared for tour guides and individuals such as taxi drivers and concierges who provide information to visitors.

The Blue Flag programme will run on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from February 18 to March 4.
