Store opens with a little help from Michael Douglas and Collie Buddz

Star attraction: Michael Douglas cuts one of three ribbons during the official opening of Sovereign Sunglasses and Watch Shop on Reid Street.

The red carpet was rolled out on Reid Street as actor Michael Douglas and musician Collie Buddz opened a new shop in the centre of Hamilton.

The two stars are friends of Dave Boyce, general manager of Sovereign Sunglasses and Watches, and showed up to help with the official opening of the store on Saturday.

Two-times Oscar winner Mr Douglas is a former Island resident and owns property in Bermuda. His actress mother Diana Dill was born in Bermuda.

International reggae artist Mr Buddz, real name Colin Harper, is one of Bermuda’s famous entertainment exports.

Mr Douglas, Mr Buddz and Premier Craig Cannonier each cut one of three ribbons to mark the opening of the store.
