Fierce winter storms in the US lead to a second day of flight cancellations yesterday.

Delta Air Lines cancelled flights to and from New York Laguardia and Atlanta, while American Airlines cancelled flight 1416, which had been scheduled to arrive in Bermuda from New York last night.

New York City received around 9.5in of snow yesterday due to the winter storm, while Georgia also experienced several inches of snow and ice.

The weather forced the cancellation of thousands of flights internationally, along with power outages in several US states.
