Professionals talk at CedarBridge careers day
Local professionals have been asked to give presentations on their respective careers, allowing CedarBridge students to take advantage of networking opportunities.
Pupils will get chance to talk to the professionals at tomorrow’s Ninth Annual 100 Men and Women on Campus Day.
The school said the event presents an “exciting and important” opportunity to develop the students’ curiosity when it comes to potential careers.
While not every student will be able to explore their preferred profession, the school said it hoped to “expose students to various careers they may have limited knowledge about.”
The school hopes to have a panel of five to six professionals giving ten minute presentations on their respective careers, with audience participation encouraged.
But “in order to make this a success”, said a spokesperson, the school needs help in securing presenters for the afternoon sessions.
Presentations for male students are between 1:15pm and 2:15pm, while presentations for female students will be held between 2:30pm and 3:30pm.
Topics to be discussed include healthcare, hospitality, entrepreneurs, business, arts, law/ education, and trades/construction
