Artistic endeavour: Some of the artwork created by students from Chatterbox Preschool. Money raised at an auction will help fund the BZS Turtle Programme

Students at Chatterbox preschool have been making waves in the art world.

The children held an ocean-inspired art auction, after which the money raised was handed to the Bermuda Zoological Society (BZS).

The funds will be used to help the BZS Turtle Project.

“Chatterbox Preschool is so pleased to be able to share this donation,” said teacher Sherraine Flemming.

“The children have not only been busy creating art for their art auction to raise money but have spent a great deal of time learning about our environment and the ocean, fully enjoying the experience.”

Ms Flemming noted the students had been inspired by creatures found at the Aquarium.

Principal Curator, Dr Ian Walker said: “I would like to personally thank and congratulate the children and teachers at Chatterbox Preschool for their generosity and forward-thinking community service.

“I am very excited to hear that the money they raised from their art auction would help sea turtles in Bermuda through the BZS’s Bermuda Turtle Project.”
