A 70-year-old Sandys man is in Intensive Care at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital after a two-vehicle crash that occurred at about 4.30pm yesterday in Southampton.

The motorcyclist was injured during a collision between his vehicle and a van, on Middle Road near Jews Bay. According to police, he is currently in stable condition.

Both vehicles were damaged, and any witnesses are asked to contact Pc Barbi Harris of the Somerset Police Station, at 234-1010.

Police have also issued a fresh warning to the public about the prevalence of online scams including e-mails claiming to be from local banks requesting sensitive information.

Personal information such as bank codes, dates of birth, addresses and telephone numbers should not be relayed to unknown individuals, and such unsolicited correspondence should be ignored.
