A driver and passenger had to scramble to safety after their car overturned in Hamilton.

The vehicle was travelling north along Rosemont Avenue when it hit a wall and overturned.

One of the occupants was treated at the scene by emergency personnel.

The accident took place at 5:12pm yesterday. Fire Service spokesperson Sergeant Russann Francis said: “The Fire Service responded to a single car overturned with two occupants inside. The vehicle was travelling north on Rosemont Avenue when it collided with a wall and subsequently overturned.

“Occupants were assisted from the vehicle prior to arrival of emergency personnel.”

The Fire Service responded to the incident with two vehicles and five personnel.
