Crash victim ‘critical’

A Devonshire man seriously injured in a road accident on Friday remained in a critical condition on Sunday night.

The 47-year-old victim suffered “very serious” head injuries, according to a Police spokesman.

The biker grazed a car and struck a second vehicle head-on while on South Road, near the junction with Camp Road, at about 4.30pm on Friday.

The patient was still in the Intensive Care Unit at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital in a critical condition on Sunday night.

Police are appealling for anyone who may have seen the crash and who has not yet contacted them to call the Roads Policing Unit on 295-0011.
